These Terms govern your use of Lucid. Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Lucid is a wellness application that helps you track patterns in your cognitive function over time through brief daily activities, journaling, and integration with health data sources. The Service is intended for general wellness and self-knowledge purposes.
Lucid is not a medical device, medical service, or healthcare provider. We do not diagnose, detect, screen for, or treat any medical condition. We do not provide medical advice. We do not replace consultation with qualified healthcare providers. We do not constitute a substitute for professional medical assessment.
If you have health concerns, please consult a qualified healthcare provider. Do not delay seeking medical care based on information from the Service.
We strive to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher). By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, write to security@lucidhealth.app immediately.
The Service is for individual use. Each person should have their own account. Sharing accounts compromises the integrity of cognitive trend data and is not permitted.
The Service is offered on a subscription basis. Current plans include Monthly ($14.99/month), Annual ($99/year), and Family ($29.99/month for up to two users). Prices are in US dollars and may vary by region. Current pricing is always shown in the app before purchase.
New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. The trial begins when you subscribe and converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless you cancel before then.
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal. Apple charges your Apple ID for renewal at the then-current price.
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.
Refunds are handled by Apple according to their policies. We do not issue refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Support.
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days notice via email and in-app notification. Continued subscription after the price change constitutes acceptance.
You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may track your own cognitive patterns, share insights with family members you have invited, and export your data for personal use.
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose, provide commercial cognitive assessments to others, reverse engineer or decompile the Service, use the Service to develop competing products, bypass security features or rate limits, submit false or misleading information, impersonate another person, use automated systems to access the Service, share your account credentials, or use the Service if you are not authorized to receive such services in your jurisdiction.
When inviting family members to provide observations, you confirm you have permission to share their email with us, acknowledge they can decline at any time, and understand observations they provide become part of your account data.
You retain all rights to content you create or provide through the Service ("Your Content"), including journal entries, voice recordings, videos, drawings, and responses.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you. This license does not include the right to use Your Content for our own marketing, share Your Content with other users (except family members you invite), or use Your Content to train AI models without your explicit opt-in consent. The license terminates when you delete the content or your account.
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us the right to use them without compensation. We appreciate feedback.
Your privacy is fundamental to how Lucid works. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please read it carefully.
The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, logos, and content (other than Your Content), is owned by Lucid and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"Lucid" and the Lucid logo are trademarks of Lucid Health, Inc. You may not use them without our prior written permission.
If you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed by content on the Service, contact copyright@lucidhealth.app. Include the information required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3).
THE SERVICE IS NOT INTENDED TO PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT. The information provided through the Service is for general informational and educational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice.
ALWAYS SEEK THE ADVICE OF A QUALIFIED HEALTHCARE PROVIDER WITH ANY QUESTIONS REGARDING A MEDICAL CONDITION. NEVER DISREGARD PROFESSIONAL MEDICAL ADVICE OR DELAY SEEKING IT BECAUSE OF SOMETHING YOU READ OR EXPERIENCED THROUGH THE SERVICE.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS, THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT RESULTS OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE, OR THAT ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties. In those jurisdictions, the above exclusions may not apply.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LUCID AND ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; (C) ANY CONTENT OBTAINED FROM THE SERVICE; OR (D) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation of liability for certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lucid, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of another party, or your content provided through the Service.
You can terminate your account at any time by deleting it from Settings > Account > Delete Account.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if we are required to do so by law, if your account has been inactive for an extended period (we will notify you first), or if we discontinue the Service. We will provide reasonable notice when possible.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data within 30 days, except as required for legal compliance. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive termination.
Before filing any formal dispute, please contact us at legal@lucidhealth.app to attempt informal resolution. We will work in good faith to resolve disputes within 30 days.
For users in the United States, any unresolved dispute shall be resolved through binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, except that either party may bring a small claims court action.
YOU AND LUCID AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.
You have the right to opt out of this arbitration provision within 30 days of first agreeing to these Terms by writing to legal@lucidhealth.app with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out."
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles. For users outside the United States, your local consumer protection laws may provide additional rights that cannot be waived. These Terms do not limit those rights.
We may modify these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated through the app and via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. You can review the current Terms at any time at lucidhealth.app/terms. Previous versions are archived and available upon request.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Lucid regarding the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that right or provision.
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We are not liable for failures or delays due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions).
